Maybe not explicitly penalized, but she’s given a negative mark. I imagine enough negative points could lead to some more direct sanctions but I don’t know for sure.

That really is damaging. First the idea that toilet habits are a legit focus for policing and surveillance and second, teaching them good kids hold it in?!?! Thats potentially medically unsound never mind plain weird. And encourages to avoid hydrating properly...

Yeah I’m not sure it’s full blown panopticism, but it reminds me of the end of D&P where he says citizens will be able to observe the observers. In this case, parents can see how their kids are being rewarded and punished by teachers.
