Could someone from @TeamYouTube or @YTCreators explain who are considered authoritative news sources? This is a cornerstone according to @SusanWojcicki “raising authoritative voices” but what does that mean exactly?

Also if this is the case, why don’t independent news channels apply to be whitelisted? Or is it just hard to get whitelisted? I only see legacy media.

And yes it is hard. I got the feeling they wanted established, award winning legacy news when I spoke to them This was the loophole they made when they did the "authoritive sources" change
