“Straight White Male” has become this century’s N-Word. It’s used to offend and diminish the recipient based on assumption and bias. No difference in the usage.

A term used to minimize your opinion is NOT the same as one meant to minimize your humanity. Doesn't matter how it's used, the SWM-words are not that offensive.

I appreciate your thoughtfulness. However, I disagree. Saying I’m a SWM only devalues my opinion if I’m trying to be an expert on POC, LGBT, or women’s issues, especially in the face of people actually live those realities. The N-word devalues a person’s humanity.
