10%!? If you're a top tech talent shouldn't you be able to find gigs without this assistance? Seems steep and not worth the opportunity cost of putting yourself out there and sharing your story/talent

Not to mention staffing companies are already happy to take you *without* charging you a dime! This is one of those ideas that sounds good at first, until you realize it’s just shifting payment from employer to employee. And for what?

Are they planning to financialize & bundle debts of workers they place? Will their platform exacerbate hiring inequities since underrepresented workers are paid less, and pay a smaller cut? Do they forgive debts for workers who get harassed by a new employer or are they stuck?

The cost of living unfortunately disqualifies it. Still a great city if you're a top-tier engineer / product person / etc. We work with a different demographic though.

In the example, a worker increases income by $567/mo. Their monthly fee is $433. Fed inc tax (22%) would be $125/mo. So the increase in take home would only be +$9. Great if it gets you on a steeper slope or permanently higher base, but maybe not worth moving otherwise
