Ok @jacindaardern, lt looks like @PeterDutton_MP and @TurnbullMalcolm have formally renounced #auspol of any responsibility for the refugees on #Mauns & #Nauru.
Please take this opportunity to evacuate them to NZ ASAP.
We sent the men to Manus. We forcibly removed them from the base into inferior accommodation in Lorengau. We pay for their detention. We refuse permission for them to go to NZ. To hide behind the pretence that any of this is "a matter for the PNG Govt" is morally reprehensible.
Does this mean in the agreement with PNG that they take any and all responsibility, NOT the Aust government regarding such matters? Can the government provide details of the agreement/copout? Is the continued persecution of the remaining refugees also the responsibility of PNG?
Then can PNG send them to NZ?
