I understand why folk indiscriminately blocking people is a red flag, but there are so many reasons someone needs to use that feature. It is not in itself an unprofessional action, nor does a person in politics owe access to their social media to anyone.

I try make best use of the mute button too. There have been too many times though that I've had to utilise the block button the last year, sadly from folk that are like minded. When someone encourages the spread of misinformation about me to the point it detriment my mental

health then I will block. Also, if someone is repeatedly engaging in bad faith and being completely unconstructive I won't waste my time on them either so I block for tbat reason too. Social media is a personal tool and I agree no one is entitled to unfettered access
