I'm undecided but open minded about this. What would be the safeguards in place? My concern is whether some would see it as a means to not be a 'burden' on family or carers

It would be the same if not tighter restrictions than anywhere else with assisted dying rules. Mentally competent Terminally ill people with less than 6 months to live able to take the drugs without assistance.

Good for you, Josh. I went through what sounds like a similar experience with my little sister who had to be permanently sedated in the end as she was in so much distress and couldn’t communicate any more. I’m with you every step of the way. No one should have to suffer like that
