I believe that every member of the public should have to undergo mandatory service in hospitality and bar work, at some point in their life, so they know *what it's like*

Will never forget working in hospitality... had to clean up the kids ‘funky forest’ jungle play den when a kid had left shit streaks down the chute. Only way I could clean it was to slide down the chute and wipe on my way down... for £3.68 an hour

I've been cleaning poop for 24 years. For a current high of £1.75p/hour. Public servants should try unpaid care for a spell too.

I work in care as well Fiona so I’m used to cleaning bums. I get paid the Scottish living wage for it at least though x

My reply was slightly disingenuous as I am now working PT (under the £120/week threshold for carers allowance) for the Scottish living wage. System doesn't acknowledge unpaid care sufficiently, but. You: total respect for paid care workers. I'd lose the plot if my son lost his.pic.twitter.com/8iZMLp28sU
