Will USSL and the trustee just play lip service to JEP and press on with current plans for cost-sharing increases? Or will they accept their Nov valuation was insufficiently transparent, with excessive “hidden” ad hoc prudence, and without projecting asset growth for Test 1?

It seems to me that, under pressure from tPR, USSL kept layering ad hoc prudence. Having found the covenant to be strong, USSL & trustee lost its nerve when tPR verdict was “tending to strong”. Lack of independence and courage by trustee.

Will it be more comforting for ordinary USS members? I have the cost-sharing consultation on my desk which I’m still trying to figure out how to respond to.

Jo, re your above tweet, would it be possible to shed light on whether, as far as you understand, it will still be published today, even if (as you've indicated in subsequent tweets) you haven't been able elicit confirmation of a specific time and method of publication? -
I don’t expect it will be published this evening. My requests for an update from the JEP have not been answered so I can’t shed any light on what happened at today’s meeting or when we can expect the report. I’m still on the case and will update as soon as I get info.
