Last night, I said that Nevada is open for business, effective immediately — and I meant it.
Today, announced Tesla’s new $3.6B factory in northern Nevada. This is an incredible investment in our state.

31st Governor of Nevada. Veteran. Former Sheriff of Clark County. Believer in the Nevada Way.
Governor Joe Lombardo’s posts
Today, I vetoed SB 171, AB 354, and AB 355.
I will not support legislation that infringes on the constitutional rights of Nevadans.
Nevada is honored to be the home of Tesla's Gigafactory.
Since 2014, has invested $6.2 billion in our state and Tesla's new $3.6 billion investment is going to continue to bring unparalleled innovation and economic growth to Nevada!

Today, I signed my first 2 executive orders.
1. I repealed and rescinded the COVID mandates from the previous administration.
2. I called on state leadership to address state workforce vacancies and get state workers back to in person, normal office operations by July 1.
Today, I was happy to proclaim February 6, 2023 as Ronald Reagan Day in Nevada!
Nevadans deserve to have confidence that our elections are free and fair. It's time we institute common-sense election reforms:
✅Voter ID
✅Mail-In Ballots Are Received When Polls Close
❌End Universal Mail-In Ballots
❌End Unregulated Ballot Harvesting
Greatest team. Greatest players. Greatest city.
What an incredible night!

Today, I was honored to sign AB 140, which officially made Juneteenth a state holiday in Nevada. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, and I’m proud that Nevada will now recognize this holiday on a state and federal level.

My fellow Nevadans, the hard work begins today. I look forward to the future with great hope and expectation. Our capacity to achieve great deeds will never be in doubt because we will follow the Nevada Way!
Nevadans deserve relief from the pain at the pump.
Let’s get to work on delivering this tax break for Nevada families.
There’s nothing better than going to the wildest, richest rodeo in the West with Nevada’s amazing First Lady!
John 15:13 tells us, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
On this Memorial Day, we honor our fallen veterans who demonstrated that supreme love to you, to me, and to our entire country.
We will never forget their courage and sacrifice.
Ahead of Hurricane Hilary, I’ve made the decision to activate 100 Nevada National Guardsmen to support Southern Nevada. These Guardsmen will be put in place to provide support to southern counties, which may be significantly impacted by flooding.

Today, I testified on AB 330, my legislation that addresses school violence. Our teachers and students have suffered long enough — there should be zero tolerance for school violence. AB 330 institutes reforms that empower teachers and schools to discipline students effectively.
Since I took office, the Biden White House has not consulted with my administration about any of the details of the proposed Avi Kwa Ame national monument which, given the size of the proposal, seems badly out of step.
My full statement on the designation below.
Tonight, I declared a state of emergency to help mitigate the impact of the California fuel pipeline leak in Southern Nevada.
Please see the executive order and my full statement below.
He is Risen. Happy Easter! My family and I wish you and your loved ones a blessed and joyful Easter together.
In my State of the State address, I promised increased transparency and accountability in our education system.
Today, I announced a statewide audit into our public schools — the first step in ensuring that your tax dollars are being spent effectively.
It's time we begin offering state-supported transportation to Nevada's charter school students.
Senate Bill 124 can help us do just that.
My administration is committed to protecting Nevada students and teachers.
Our state deserves better.
This morning, we received an update that Kinder Morgan expects the gas pipeline to resume normal operations by this afternoon.
Please read my full statement below.
Late last night, I was honored to sign the K-12 Education Funding bill, which is the largest education budget in state history.
This budget is a historic investment and increases per pupil funding by over $2,500.
It’s time we invest in the future of our state!

Our brave law enforcement officers are on the frontlines of the fentanyl epidemic every single day. Even right here in Douglas Co.
We must to recommit to fighting fentanyl in NV. I'm starting by introducing a bill that makes fentanyl possession in ANY amount a category B felony.

Happy Independence Day to all!
On the Fourth of July, we celebrate the birth of our great nation and we honor our forebears who fought for our country’s freedom and independence.
God bless you and yours, and God bless America!
These are the kids who Democrats will be forcibly removing from their schools.
These are real kids — and just a few of the hundreds who will be kicked out of their schools because Democrats refuse to fund their scholarships.
This is an unimaginable injustice.
Today, I got to meet with parents and students who are fighting for school choice in Nevada.
These families shared with me how opportunity scholarships have changed their lives and why they are so important for our communities.
This afternoon I signed AB 522, the state employee pay bill.
I’m proud that this legislation provides essential raises for state employees over the next biennium.
Our state employees are deserving of these raises, and I’m grateful we were able to deliver this critical bill.
Thank you for celebrating with us last night, Las Vegas! My family and I were humbled and honored by your support. We have so much to look forward to together. #TheNevadaWay

Nevada gas prices are the least affordable in the entire United States.
Nevadans are desperate for economic relief, which is why I proposed a Gas Tax Holiday in my budget. My proposal will save families hundreds of dollars a year.
Let's get it done.
Important news.
At my request, AAA Scholarship Foundation has volunteered to utilize reserve funds to ensure that no students lose access to their scholarships this year. I’m grateful for their eagerness to create a short-term solution.
We have to keep fighting for our kids.
As a former law enforcement officer of 36 years, I’m honored that my Crime Reduction Act has the support of every single sheriff in Nevada.
It’s time for us to bring safety and security back to our communities.

Thank you to our tireless staff at who work so diligently to keep our roads and communities safe!
It’s been 100 days since my formal inauguration in Carson City! Since taking office, my administration has been hard at work for Nevadans every single day.
Here are just a few highlights of my first 100 days of doing things #TheNevadaWay…
I presented AB 400, the Education Achievement, Opportunity, and Accountability Act, because I believe:
1. Every parent deserves a voice and a choice in their child's education
2. A student’s zip code shouldn’t determine the quality of their education
Right now, hundreds of Opportunity Scholarship students are at risk of losing their scholarships.
That’s unacceptable.
We’re going to fight for our kids.
I was proud to sign AB 268 today, which gives state workers the first installments of my proposed annual bonuses. Our state workers, like the NDOT employees who joined us, are so deserving of these bonuses. Grateful to legislative leaders for making this a bipartisan priority!
Yesterday, I was honored to sign AB 519, which enables the construction of a new school for the students of the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Indian Reservation.
It was a privilege to sign this legislation alongside Owyhee students, tribal leaders, and legislators.
My full statement on tonight’s vote on Opportunity Scholarships below.
We must bring transparency and accountability to our education system...that's why I ordered a statewide education audit.
Our kids deserve it. Our taxpayers deserve it. Our teachers deserve it.
This week, we celebrate and honor Nevada law enforcement during National Police Week.
To all of those who serve and protect our state: thank you for your enduring bravery, courage, and faithfulness.
Our state is deeply grateful for your service.
Kinder Morgan has successfully resumed pipeline operations.
The state of emergency will remain in effect until emergency management partners are able to confirm that fuel transportation and supply have fully returned to normal.
Today is Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial Day in Nevada.
We will never forget the service and sacrifice of officers who have been killed in the line of duty while protecting our communities in Nevada.
Their bravery, courage, and honor will always be remembered in our state.
As a reminder, price gouging and deceptive trade practices are strictly prohibited during a state of emergency. If you believe you've encountered local price gouging, my office encourages you to file a complaint with the AG's office at ag.nv.gov/Complaints/Fil

High gas prices are why I’ve proposed suspending the state gas tax, which will save the average Nevada family hundreds of dollars a year.
Legislators, let’s get this done for all Nevadans this session.

GasBuddy (L) says the national average is $3.44, while Nevada’s average has risen 2.4 cents in the last week to $4.29 per gallon.

Due to severe incoming winter weather, I've ordered state offices in Carson City, Douglas Co, Lyon Co, Storey Co, and Washoe Co to remain closed today.
Northern Nevada, please stay safe and follow all NDOT and DPS guidance.
Full statement from my office below.
Ensuring that Nevada kids can read before leaving third grade is one of the most important things we can do for the future of our state.
It’s time we take accountability in our schools and fight for the future our kids deserve.
Support AB 400.
Last night, I signed AB 330, my Safer and Supportive Schools Act into law — fulfilling a promise I made to Nevadans months ago.
School violence has no place in our state and no place in our communities.
AB 330 is a tremendous victory for our teachers and our kids. #TheNevadaWay
I'm proud of all that we've been able to achieve since January, but I promise you this: we're just getting started.
