Oh no *back of hand to forehead* I think she's blocked me. It's so concerning that *medics* out there can't get past their personal biases to look critically at something like unnecessary surgery on infants. Having had a surgeon scream in my face about it once... disturbing.https://twitter.com/noodlemaz/status/1080720032299020288 …

Yes Marianne, she blocked me too. That seems to be this "Doctor's" modus operandi when challenged. The total ignorance of American Physicians regarding this organ astounds me. The denial of the damage caused by the Orthodox Brit Periah leaves me speechless.

While orthodox practices can be extreme, we also shouldn't focus on them as the sole causes of harm. Any unnecessary genital surgery is harmful. Cultural US circumcision can involve more tissue being taken than in the brit milah. Removal of any healthy genital tissue is damage.

This seems to be the modus operandi of most, if not all pro-circ advocates who are challenged. Almost as if they’re afraid of being shown up by factual information or something.

Regarding the ignorance of US drs, this comes to mind:
“It’s difficult to get a man to understanding, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”
~Upton Sinclair
For US drs, circumcision is money, money, money.
AAP = all about profit
