Sometimes #circumcision may be necessary to alleviate phimosis, which is infinitesimally rare. As “disease prevention,” it’s pseudo-medicine that does next to nothing. Like lobotomy, blood-letting and trepanning. Only religious kooks and charlatans swear by it. #i2

A full circumcision is rarely required. A dorsal slit could be performed to retain as much of the foreskin as possible.

Dorsal slit with transverse closure. That removes none of the foreskin, it saves the whole thing.

However, that result in no extra profit from the selling of the tissue, which is why you never hear the medical industry talk about it.

There's no profit after about 4 months anyways, its only neonatal foreskin with the high value.

Circumcision, or any other surgery, is probably almost never necessary for phimosis. Just look at this:https://phimosisjourney.wordpress.com/

Circumcision may be necessary in the case of Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans, which, again, is infinitesimally rare. #i2
