A full circumcision is rarely required. A dorsal slit could be performed to retain as much of the foreskin as possible.

Rarely? More like NEVER

Intactivists would do well to study up on the matter; cutters pounce on anything and everything to discredit us. Circumcision may be necessary in the case of Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans. As I’ve said, it’s extremely rare and only diagnosed in adults.

The only real condition of phimosis is of foreskin is stuck in retracted form, that means serious harm was already done to the ferenulum. Or if you start getting glans necrosis [blood obstruction]. both of those cured without cutting off stuff. There's a serious ignorance in US
-
False. The condition where the foreskin is stuck behind the glans as a result of forcible retraction is called “paraphimosis.” “True phimosis” is a stricture in the preputial meatus that is a result of lesions from Balanitis Xlerotica Obliterans. (BXO)

Knowledge is power. Please read up on the subject so that you are better informed and you can better inform others.

Awesome article, has some weird cancer scare. But other data is accurate
-
I include the cancer scare because that’s a common pro-circ prophylaxis argument, and readers ought to be aware that there is a tiny bit of truth to it, if only 1/10,000th of the truth or so. (I forget the actual number...)

Even for phimosis, waiting is better. Let the owner decide.
-
Of course. The point is that it may be necessary in this one case, and that doing it as “disease prevention” in children is pseudo-medicine.

For every excuse to cut, there's a less invasive choice. How ethical is your care provider?

A steroid cream is an effective treatment. I've heard that's falsely diagnosed, due to forced early retraction. .....Also, when properly diagnosed, a complication of type 2 diabetes.
