The system is an established duopoly. It’s designed between 2 parties that only differ regarding civil liberty issues. Fiscscally they are the same. They don’t want 3rd parties because they don’t want real change, just the illusion of change.
The @publicintegrity called @debates "a largely secretive tax-exempt organization, created and run by former chairmen of the two major parties, funded by a small group of unidentified major donors, and designed, it seems, to exclude nearly all 3rd-party candidates."
