Wow. So because Wikipedia is an extremely hostile community towards women [citation needed], you go ahead and label Mako like this. Mako Hill has done tons of work for inclusion, respect and democratisation of the communities he's been involved, before these topics were "issues".

Thanks for the link, it was enlightening. I'll use this tweet to retract from my usage of [citation needed]. It was uncalled, and I had no reason nor willingness to reject the claim's of Wikipedia's hostility given I barely know a thing about that organisation's internals.
As a woman who is & has been prominently involved in Wikipedia for a long time, this is true; @makoshark is an asset to our community and has helped make it better for everyone.
The person in question actually accepted a role on a the @fsf board of directors, which in itself indicates moral compromise.
