Don't be fooled, Social Networks are not the battlefield of ideas. They are the battlefield for concepts that generate the most engagement.
It's more than an idea. Identity politics, for example, is a concept that is engineered to maximize engagement. A single conflict based on identity politics is an idea. The set of identity politics conflicts, is a concept.

I suppose if we were to define it as such. To me, it’s difficult to draw these lines, given that our entire paradigm of communication emerged to facilitate the spread of memes / ideas / concepts. It’s all about behavioral mediation by way of symbolic mimesis.
