He doesn’t know. He saw an opinion that scared him and attempted to show it down. But doesn’t realize that I don’t know him and don’t care what he thinks until he proves himself capable of argumentation and expressing his opinions without weasel words.

I'll take a crack at it IRL violence can and does happen often. Usually in an area with protests. It's broken up by police quickly.

in the 60s-70s we had worse violence. bombings, arson, and assassinations were common. but we still didn't have a civil war. So I think it can get much worse before we see anything systemic

Communication and calls to action were much slower in those days. Today you could get a mob of 1000 people to show up within 15 minutes of posting a location on twitter anywhere in the world.

It will happen rapidly when it does. 2020, or whenever the next financial crisis hits, will be very serious years to watch out for. Every event, the stakes are being ratcheted up. I've got my personal threat level for US at about an 8.5/10 right now.
