I’m trying to convince people to spread worthwhile signals. I tweet about this every day. Simply allow bad ideas to pass, they will fade in time as they have no utility. No need to draw attention to bad ideas. It only spreads them in this type of medium.

Again, who decides worthwhile signals?

I understand the intent of what Christina is doing, but at a certain point, it has negative returns.

Who decides diminishing returns? If you don't pose the same question to Rose you are missing the point. You seem to argue for a less than truthful situation that SOMEONE gets to decide which is more important. Who is that someone?

Collectively we decide what is important by transmitting those signals to each other and to the network. The solution is to fill any medium with meaningful signals. If no one paid attention to rose, her signals would be meaningless. By retweeting them, her signals are amplified.

This seems to be what I would call LCD thinking. You reduce things to their least offensive point. You are espousing censorship. Self censorship, but again, who decides? And although I may see the merits of what you say, you're 20 years late stating it.

I'm espousing discipline over emotive response, while weighing the downstream effects of such. I was only 6 then! Lol

I don't necessarily disagree with you on that aspect. However, given your youth, I feel you misunderstand those older that social media existed in a world where none of this happened. Instant gratification is the norm now. Have I "wasted" time engaging you?

No, because we had a discussion around spreading worthwhile signals (urging people to discipline their emotions, and think twice before spreading content that will amplify itself in the network) My point is that spreading “anti” content, is itself advertising for the opposition
