.@desantis @mwilcox Know of any resources for reading about time dilation in relation to information density? Is this a field anyone has done formal work on? beginning stages of thinking...

Maybe it isn't just physical mass; but the organization of predictable information that affects time.. for something to exist, it has to be unpredictable. when the future is predictable (known), it ceases to exist.. working theory..pic.twitter.com/C9nU61mKhR

this makes sense - I could easily see this being true for how humans perceive time in the moment - when there is a lot of stimulus, time ceases to be felt

I just read a really good essay on time dilation as an evolutionary strategy. I'll try dig it up.

Just found the link: https://www.edge.org/conversation/brain-time … I read the essay in this book, which is also great, link:https://www.amazon.com/Whats-Next-Dispatches-Future-Science/dp/0307389316/ …

I've still yet to see anyone thinking about this in the terms that I am. Writing out some thoughts now, will upload soon.. Abstract: Unpredictability is a precondition for existence. If an event (energy/information) is 100% predictable, it cannot exist in time.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropy_(information_theory)#Maximum … this from @GRITCULT is the closest to what I'm thinking about.. still trying to wrap my head around. Relevant sections: Relationship to thermodynamic entropy (also main article), Entropy as information content

well if matter = information matter density => information density black holes emit hawking radiation they emit information so in a sense information is not "lost" if i understand correctlypic.twitter.com/18AUrE37mN

however this is also the basis of the information paradox that there is some inner information "black holes do not cause information to be lost, and that general relativity, but not quantum theory, must be modified." - hawking some say it transfers info to quantum entanglementpic.twitter.com/uFdE63Zdta

just me waffling now but you could say via quantum entanglement the information crosses time barriers so the 4th dimensional view of the universe, the information is not lost but then via time frames, there would be discrepancies not sure =>possibly avoiding entropy death

I'm not well versed enough in quantum theory to be honest. This is going to be a lot of work.. Tagged @DavidDeutschOxf. Let's tag a bunch of physicists to either tell us we're on to something or that we're stupid. If they tell me I'm stupid, I know I'm on to something.
