The reason the “old media” the “old corporationions” and the “old academia”
Have gone so far left is that anyone intelligent has already moved on to more productive ways to work.
These acts of #censorship are not powerful moves, but simply the death rattles of the irrelevant.

Case in point. My students paid thousands of dollars for every hour of 1:1 time they got with me. My university was in the top 10% most expensive. I was provided housing on a lovely campus. Maybe 10 students a week learned anything truly valuable from me.

The best professors were all recruited away to work for companies. We mentored people OJT. Had a much bigger impact on more “students” as we built products for thousands of users. Who stayed behind? The dregs.

After a few years the best of us founded successful startups. We realized the corporate machine was more effective than academia in almost every way, but still painfully wasteful. We got paid better and solved more problems. Who remained in an office on the third floor? Dregs.

Now many of us are working on products specifically designed to destroy those older systems of inefficiency. We have the financial independence and the experience to be productive at unreasonable scale. Who is still working on the next scrapbooking app? The dregs.

So when I hear about the collage campuses being overrun by idiots I just laugh. They are not gaining ground. They are simply the only people left stupid enough to think this is an effective medium. Or so stupid they were never offered more money and a bigger impact. Or both.
