agree, it is signalling. but im finding it to be more polarising and creating tribal conflict more than anything im not sayin being apolitical just the notion on twitter (which im trying to game) is not a wise strategy unless that is what i am trying to game into

Political tweets aren’t even the problem in my view. The problem is rampant low-quality political tweets + people who’s livelihood is dependent upon political tweets/engagement. Authenticity is the highest virtue. Can respect any political thought as long as t comes from there.

Yes the intent/conscious effort is really important to consider. To me it's what really represent what the person is trying to become and what it will do in the future. But I agree the action is the results of both unconscious and conscious influence.

We definitely have a need for relatedness and our tweets might be perceived as a signal of group membership So I can agree that relatedness might deeply shape our interaction (consciously or not), but my point was about the conscious intent, what we can intentionaly influence
