I think it is precious when I see gay couples (dudes) holding hands in Manhattan. Eyes have this transgressive twinkle: "hee hee! Take that, bigots! Nothing can stop our love!" Hayseeds! Nobody gives a shit you are gay, and few het couples feel the need to hold hands. It's 2018.

I think it is neatly calculated to offend both sides. Candidate for my tight 15.

This is what American “culture” is these days. It’s the logical conclusion of targeted marketing. You think you are pointing a middle finger at the system, while you ARE the system. This is when your metaphysical purpose for existence has BECOME spite. “Anti-trump”

I was referring to the couple haha. Interesting how it can be interpreted both ways. But this is what everyone thinks, “no, not me!”. When you become conscious of it, it’s painful, but possible, to see where you’ve been led.

Because they aren’t disenfranchised at all in today’s society (in NYC at least). They both could be bankers, artists, executives, or CEO’s. The “transgressive twinkle” is an anachronism.
