Imo to wait that long is shady. Maybe they thought they could fix it sooner without admitting fault. Who knows. Could be a number of different reasons. Either way, yeah it’s definitely poor service.

The word shady suggests that it is dishonest, fraudulent, or criminal, and is well overused in this field when "incompetent" is more apropos
