Which uses more energy: a 10 year old oak tree or a 2 year old oak tree? Why?

Looking at them as separate strikes me as wrong-minded. What’s the purpose in comparing energy? To move energy from one location to another? Why? Is there really separate energy at all?

No, all energy is singular - the transfer/flow is quantifiable and comparable. I'm not sure I understand the other questions. Can you elaborate?

Ok. My questions are more metaphysical. My general lens on this is that I think a solid metaphysical base is missing in tech.. What would be the purpose of attempting to direct the transfer of energy? If there’s not a good answer here, then the question is irrelevant.
