1| The Role of Commentary in Connected Networks (Collective Consciousness) We have a problem where commentary is more plentiful than actual information. This is likely a result of our innate human desire to be part of a group + our desire to mimic/idolize.

3| There is a difference between signals and commentary Signals transmit observations to the collective consciousness; they are valuable + essential. Signals are how the collective consciousness can navigate through idea-space. Commentary clogs the bandwidth of the CC network.

There’s a difference between contributing observations to the network, and being a “commentator” commenting on commentary. A signal would be a study. Someone writing an article on a study is commentary. Someone tweeting to someone writing an article on a study is commentary
