There are a lot of interesting and intelligent people I want to follow but don't. I go to their timeline and it's 90% freaking out about Trump. If you dislike him, that's fine. Why not keep it to under 10% and make them funny and/or insightful? Don't just parrot everyone else.

No one can escape signaling. The pull when you are super connected (tons of followers) must be enormous. It ensures immediate approval. It’s a quick hit.

I find it ironic that the logical conclusion is “real” virtue signaling. Then I remember you have to consider the whole of signals.. goal should be to distribute proper amount of focus to worthwhile signals..
