Super effective strategy to win people over here.
Always the fault of the voters. Never the terrible politicians. Next go tell the black men who stayed home in Milwaukee and Detroit and Philly about their privilege.https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1309641368424402945 …

I've got some news flash for you: Without democracy, none of the issues with "healthcare, or drowning in debt, or working 2-3 jobs" will be resolved. If Americans sit this one out, a generation will have to learn this lesson the hard way.
-
Not of those issues will get any attention under Biden either. He's already said so repeatedly.

Bravo! When it gets to that level of desperation, the last thing a normal person would think about is the "sanctity of the democracy". What's democracy going to do for a person when they end up with no money and no future? The system failed us, not the other way around.
-
It's literally telling them to vote to preserve the system that failed them. Why would they bother doing that?

I get what you're saying, but it would spoil their strategy of courting never Trump gop and right leaving suburbanites. Not saying it's a good strat, but that's the bed they are going to lay in.

I guess my response to that would be "the other guy is a threat to Democracy" should, like, be enough? Also, it's weird to argue that Clinton didn't do enough to win votes when it's pretty clear that the main thing Trump did to win votes was just lie about his plans.
-
It doesn't matter that you think it should be enough. It isn't. The reason is that the 10's of millions of people who aren't getting by here don't really care to preserve the system that failed them.

Folks forget there are populations in this country who’ve never truly experienced this elusive “democracy” How can something be destroyed or threatened which never existed in the first place?
-
Fascism has been here for a WHILE for poor and/or minority people. It's just now the white suburban people are experiencing it. I completely agree that a lot of us haven't experienced the privilege or democracy this guy is guilting us for "throwing away".
