Some people could be covered under their spouse or parents’ plan. I would also like to see the actual numbers on this.
I've been wondering the same thing...
Speaking from experience (laid off April 23), I moved to my wife's insurance immediately when I was laid off. I'm guessing 44.6 million Americans either went with their spouse, parent or on COBRA? I'm not buying how low the number is that @nytimes is reporting.
