Endorsements like Powell are mostly symbolically significant, but could help pave the way for the one Republican endorsement for Biden that could have real impact: George W. Bush.https://twitter.com/kristindonnelly/status/1269617318734290945 …

I got five in my family that left the top of the ticket blank in 2016. Two in Florida and three in Wisconsin. My mom didn’t vote at all. Think about it, Jordan.

Independent voters are key to winning elections--as far as I can tell, they are not waxing nostalgic for George W. Bush

It is. There are a number of Republicans who supported W, who are uncomfortable with Trump's antics.

If it moves the needle in TX, it could be very valuable. It won’t hurt Biden in any meaningful way elsewhere.

People like my parents adore George W. Bush, dislike Trump’s “vulgarity” (as they would call it), and both were undecided going into their polling place in ‘16. This *could* have sway with people like that. Calling it delusional because you have a **feeling** about it is lazy.

We need to give people who regret their decision to support
@realDonaldTrump a way to change that support. What does it profit society to forever “other” them?

The story of the Democrats in 2018 was black women, and Republican suburbs.
