Lost in @JoeBiden #YouAintBlack Coverage....he gave a separate interview w/ @cnbc where he doubled down on opposing #MedicareForAll as nearly 30 million have lost their employer-sponsored healthcare AND vowed to continue fracking—one of the biggest sources of the climate crisispic.twitter.com/p814WoOPOj

He RAN on a public option. Very clearly. And easily won. Why would he just adopt Bernie's agenda? Were you EVER expecting that? Biden is Biden. People voted for HIM. But he is also open and has adopted plans from others, including Bernie, that he agrees on.

If he wants to roll the dice that he can win without 90-95% of Bernie supporters, that's certainly his right...but not looking good now for him. Remember--Bernie also crushed him among a VERY important voting group...Latinoshttps://www.newsweek.com/only-3-percent-bernie-sanders-supporters-have-donated-joe-bidens-campaign-1506108 …

Let me make clear, I'm for MFA. But what I don't like is the approach from Bernie people. People voted for Joe who ran on a public option. Why should what YOU want supersede what the voters that voted for Joe want? You're not entitled. And Joe isn't entitled to your vote either..

He needs to earn your vote for sure. But the requirements in which he needs to meet is my problem. He is trying to find common ground, but you make it impossible He is for a public option, he is for lowering the age to Medicare, he is for expanding ACA subsidies. I mean come on..

But no. ME ME ME. What I want. Ok dude, well if that's how you feel then don't vote for him. Let Trump win. What do you think will happen? All of a sudden in 2024 Dems will "learn their lesson". It won't happen. That's not how voters think. Run a great candidate and you could win

Joe is making an effort. He is listening to Bernie. He has adopted plans from different people. He has admitted he was wrong on the bankruptcy bill and adopted Warren's plan. He has put together task forces with people like AOC, Pramila, etc. But no..not good enough for you...

And the majority of JOE BIDEN VOTERS during the primary supported #MedicareForAll in exit polls. So it's just not factual they prefer a public option...they support M4A despite voting for him.
