I completely agree with principle of sometimes u have to take a courageous stand & it’s usually during the toughest of times. But if he indefinitely blocked this—you’re looking at the next Great Depression. I don’t think that is an acceptable result in the quest to topple Wall St

Bernie was up there arguing for the unemployment benefits republicans were trying to cut from a bill that was guaranteed to pass without Bernie (would have been 95-1 instead of 96-0). He stopped them from cutting the unemployment benefits more (failed 48-48)--no selling us out.

He's saying this but keep in mind. Warren was silent on this bill. He's scolding Bernie for something Warren wouldn't ever have the guts to do. Not to mention that THERE'S 3.3 MILLION UNEMPLOYED IN JUST ONE WEEK!!!

3.3 million unemployment cases. The UI amendment really couldn't be a bigger deal. It was the way to secure the 2400 UBI bernie wanted, even if he could only get it for people on UI
