I remember first hearing the Sanders designees agreed to rules that allowed Super Delegates to survive & thinking: They didn’t get the job done, but did their best. Not everyone’s best is equal. Warren’s the candidate who’s a bold progressive, effective (h/t AOC), and can win.

I like you Adam, but I'm old enough to remember when you were on 2016 trail saying @BernieSanders was a bold, effective progressive. Nothing wrong w/ being for @ewarren now, but on the scoreboard, Sanders has gotten more things done as a Senator than Warren. It's easy to Google

I’m not going to dispute loving his progressive ideas at all! I do. I would love to see any quote saying effective. Doubt it. Many people who supported Sanders in 2016 support Warren because she will get the job done. Sanders opposing filibuster reform is one effectiveness flag.

What I don’t get is the lack of seriousness in your argument. You clearly are more of a technocrat (no issue with that). Why don’t you just say I support a technocrat over an organizer? That would make sense although I’d disagree. But the claim that Warren’s approach is more...

Effective/realistic is, on its face, straining reality. No objective person thinks Warren, or anyone, is going to 1) Overturn fillibuster on day 1 2) Pass a public option in 100 days 3) Then in year 3, after probable loss of 1 or both houses, pass M4A a year b4 reelection

There’s also a serious flaw in a plan in the I have a plan for everything—she is going to pay M4A through a flat employer tax (which will lead to full time being bumped to freeance), passing immigration reform, and cutting defense budget.

Is she going to wave a wand and pass comprehensive immigration reform and a massive cut in the absurd military budget (the one she has voted for?) C’mon, you know this is land of make believe stuff.

By the way—Bernie is not going to be able to pass M4A easily either. It would be the most Herculean fight we have seen since the Voting Rights Act. But history shows you don’t achieve bold change with these mealy-mouthed technocratic approaches. And in the scope of realism...

Is absurd. You know that’s not going to happen but you are pushing it for whatever your motive is (not knocking it-DC is DC). But if you’re going to choose between 2 longshot approaches—the one with mass movement organizing behind it seems like the better bet

Not that difficult, really. Bernie has no allegiance to any political party, and everyone on Capitol Hill is dirty, so there’s leverage to get difficult legislation through or elected officials can be savaged to a point the job’s no longer fun. Nothing’s impossible.
