IMO. Context & timing matter too. Bernie did not withdraw until the Democratic convention despite Hillary leading by an unsurpassable margin. Hillary withdrew in June and was running contending close with Obama till the latter months.https://twitter.com/JordanChariton/status/1217819389271126016 …

Bernie offered no support during the private server scandal. Hillary showed poor judgment. But what she did was neither treason nor illegal and was cleared of that charge. The fact is Bernie did erode Hillary's chances and people are righteously salty. BUT BUT BUT BUT BIG BUT

He didn't show support to her? ANY other politician would have slammed her and gone after her on her email scandal. Sanders said "enough about your damn emails" and gave Clinton a gift. This completely defies logic.

The server scandal during secretary of state stint was an unfounded exaggeration. There was no wrong doing. Anyone who went after her based on that would be opportunistic. If you're referring democratic party emails - yes, he showed restraint against an ethics violation.

You are extremely naive if you think any other candidate facing Clinton 1-on-1 would not capitalize on her server scandal.
