I'm a supporter of #UBI but what #YangGang is missing is @AndrewYang's healthcare plan (which is a clear moonwalking away from #MedicareForAll), a lot of that $1k a month would be going to soaring health care costs--which his plan does nothing to controlhttps://twitter.com/ibrahimpols/status/1211357863148429315 …
No, Medicare by definition is when government is the single payer. (Which then has the power to negotiate drug prices lower). When you keep a vast private insurance industry like Yang proposes, that is multi payer, not Medicare. These are facts

And the first bullet of his plan are all great things...that hinge on 1) Congressional approval 2) Government having the power to negotiate—which they will not as long as vast private insurance industry exists paying off politicianspic.twitter.com/T3zRZWhW88

Everything we want to do ever hinges on congressional approval. The only way we solve that is by being a tsunami of public will.

Yang's whole policy is based around pushing insurance companies out of business by lowering the cost of healthcare and covering everyone. M4A takes years to phase in, we can do both. It also views Yang's policies entirely in a vacuum and not together.

Under a Yang candidacy money would no longer be prime motivator, that can actually happen very quickly within the powers of the presidential office without EO, to change us off the GDP system.
