In trying to get rid of private health insurance, Bernie will fail hard like he has since the beginning. Political strategy is an absolute necessity for progress, and Bernie has no respect for it. Yang's plan to slash the true costs of care is FAR more viable, bipartisan, likely!

This is one of the most naive things I've ever read. He is really making you a sucker! The TRUE COSTS is the price gouging of private health insurance companies--which Yang's plan does nothing to reign in. And Bernie failed? He is called the amendment king in the Senate

I won't defend it, imo his healthcare plan is the weakest part of his policy and I'd rather he had a policy more similar to Bernie, it's not going to stop me supporting him though and it's disingenuous to say he doesn't want to move towards public healthcare as he clearly does.
-
read his plan--it does not move toward public healthcare at all. IF his UBI ever went through, expect to use a lot of it on rising healthcare costs.

If Bernie's plan is so great there's nothing to stop him from passing it through the senate in 2021 and yang signing into law as president.

so essentially, whatever if people have to keep rationing insulin and going bankrupt to stay alive...as long as I get my 1K a month.

Yes and this is sad because UBI is a good idea so I want to like him, but Yang’s version is the absolute worst version as those most in need get that absolute least as we rob them of 600b in benefits to pay for it. Yang’s supporters are vocal, but his support lingers at 3-5%.

He never flip flopped. He was always for a public option. Though he thinks that in a perfect world we would have single-payer.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPqmThOc5lI&t=1s …
