The government is the core provider. There is still a robust private market. In Canada 27% of all healthcare expenditures are private. That’s around $80 billion a year.

Guess you missed the part of buying private insurance for services covered by Medicare being banned

You don’t need to buy private insurance to pay a provider directly for the same services, which both Canada’s system and Bernie’s bill does not ban.

What you’re describing is not Gabbard’s plan. Hers keeps private industry companies and providers—whose existence makes single payer (Medicare) impossible. It does not just allow for private doctors

I will say I don't know why an American would be so opposed to an Australian styled system because even if we can honestly acknowledge that Bernie or Jayapals plan is better, Tulsi's plan would still be excellent and reduce yearly deaths from lack of cover to Zero.

I’m not sure why the focus is on her M4A plan. To me that’s not the issue. I personally support @BernieSanders and like @TulsiGabbard. But I don’t worship her and find it a capital crime to criticize her. I don’t agree with her present vote and I also think her supporters

Have blinders on when it comes to meetings she had had with Wall Street-ers (that if any other candidate you’d be rightly criticizing). I find the herd mentality concerning-ppl need to get a grip. It’s ok not to like 100% of a candidate
