13) I was expecting msnbc and everyone else to come around a bit to cover their ass at this point, but they’ve gone to such an extreme, I think msnbc has covered Bernie more in 2 days then they did all of November, that I think there are some shenanigans for sure

14) Much like that positive segment that aired during thanksgiving, I will give them credit for their coverage this week as long as it continues post holidays, but if it doesn’t then they get no credit for this week when looking back

15) Remember there was some stat about how abc news covered Bernie in 2015 for like 3 minutes or something absurd like that, imagine if they had decided on the day when the Keats people were watching, to do the entire show on Bernie. They could then claim we did 63 minutes not 3

Gregg, what would you say lead to this in your opinion?

The coverage today was just too prevalent. You don’t go from 0 to 60 when nothing new has even really happened since the last debate. The only thing that changed from a week ago is that it’s now the holidays and people aren’t watching

I’m not sure if I said it in the above thread, but I’m not even trying to exaggerate when I say, I think if you clock all of their Bernie coverage in the month of November, and all of their coverage over the past 36 hours, there’s been more coverage, let alone positive coverage

I know dude. I think the most surprising things is like you said not much changed and we just woke up like a day or two ago and just saw positive coverage out the blue.

I'm going to pull back the curtain here a little. When you see a rash of stories during a lull in hard news, and when there's no new data to support the so-and-so-is-surging narrative, there's a good chance that one or more of the campaigns are pushing it behind the scenes.

There is data to support the Bernie is surging and Warren is in major trouble narrative, it’s just that it was already there in November and everyone ignored it. Campaigns aren’t the only people pushing narratives, the news media Loves to do it themselves

You're right that Warren has taken a hit in the last couple of months and that Sanders has seen a bump. But Buttigieg has been the big beneficiary in Iowa. Nationally, Warren led Sanders by 5 on 11/1 and he leads her by 3.5 now. I think Biden would prefer S to W or B in Iowa.

Maybe @NBCNews political reporters like yourself should take a break from horse race to cover Buttigieg's police officers mimicking Klansmen while arresting a black man?https://twitter.com/StatusCoup/status/1210688689942208512 …
