I'm a @TulsiGabbard supporter on many things but a present vote on impeachment is not about finding the center or bridging the divide. Irregardless of the merits of impeaching Trump, this vote is not leadership. You vote yes or nohttps://twitter.com/TulsiGabbard/status/1207753618935308288 …

Yea by itself it isnt, good thing she didnt stop there tho

The "censure" posted on her blog is just more virtue-signaling. She's not calling for Trump's impeachment for his other crimes during her many appearances on Fox News.

Think of the time spent wasted on this toothless show-impeachment that could have gone to preventing the tax bill or the military spending increase et al. She called this for what it is, a farce. Impeach on real grounds if you're serious: emoluments, war crimes etc.

Putting this issue aside, I just wanna say that I really appreciate both perspectives and spirited debate. It’s kind of amazing how everyone I follow is interpreting it

A no vote would probably have all the same people coming after her for *that*. And if she'd voted yes, she'd seem like the kind of establishment Democrat that everyone hates.

It's literally no-win, no way to vote without getting a lot of flak from a lot of people. So might as well vote "present" IMHO
