Although @PeteButtigieg’s shamelessness in raising money from the very people leading our current Gilded Age is remarkable, he is right—@ewarren has done the same private fundraisers (as recent as 2018) and transferred $10 million from them to her 2020 campaignhttps://twitter.com/merica/status/1205547495453016065 …

You have to take big donations to win. That’s the reality of politics and unless SCOTUS overturns citizens united it will stay that way. To say otherwise is to advise someone to go into a fight with one hand tied behind their back. Pete is pragmatic and correct, right on brand.

I admire Bernie so much, he’s about the only politician I can say isn’t corrupt or hypocritical... but to beat Republicans you need to be able to raise big money.

I guess you weren’t paying attention to President Hillary Clinton, who outspent Trump 2 x 1. You’re living in the old days where money guarantees victory. All you need is enough to compete—Bernie has proven you can earn that through average people

And what? Trust me, if Bernie is the nominee—the money to compete will be there with WAY MORE quantity of donations (and you’ll see those $18 average donations going up for the 3-4 months)
