if I turn on tv and I watch a debate on CNN it should be disclosed that they are financially supporting one of the candidates, you're asking the viewers to run a report on every candidate on a daily basis.

CNN didn't donate. The claim is that employees did. So what? They have 3000 employees. Some of them donate to candidates. Most of the employees have zero input into news content. If you do tech support for their computers should you be disallowed from donating to a campaign?

They did, like any other major corporation. This particular case is an issue because CNN is in a position to influence the voters

Even if CNN donated directly (show me) there's a $2,800 limit.

Are you suggesting CNN donated to a Kamala Harris Foundation?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the claim was that CNN (and/or its employees - fuzzy claim) donated over $50k to Kamala's campaign. No evidence presented despite it being public record. $2800 limit. Are you insinuating they gave her money in an indirect method? Evidence?

Jimbo—are you intentionally dense? A mix of AT&T owners/employees/company PAC/spouses donated nearly $51k to Harris in first 3 months. As a NEWS organization, transparency of potential conflicts is common practicehttps://www.opensecrets.org/2020-presidential-race/contributors?id=N00036915 …

Did you look at your own link? I spot checked AT&T. There are donations to dozens of candidates spread far and wide. It looks typical of just about any corporation, whether media or otherwise. They don't appear to be coordinating employee donations or favoring Kamala to me.
