Was never into the Yang fad because it seemed to me the burden of his UBI proposal was going to fall on working people rather than wealthy & corporations. This answer only amplified that https://twitter.com/zei_nabq/status/1139152262767550464?s=21 …

Even if he's not talking entlmnts, all programs subject to annual appropriations will be hurt--not just dollar 4 dollar based on opt outs, either. At best, poor remain stagnant & everyone else moves up; more likely, prgrms are ripped apart & replaced w/ insufficient $ to live on

He's not for getting people off of Medicare and SS. His position used to be that it would replace SS, but he responded to criticism by opening his position. I agree that his response here was unclear and potentially troubling

More recently he's been wishing washy on the subject. I think it was the Bill Maher show.

Dude stop. It stacks with SSI, and he wants to implement universal health care so everyone will get Medicare anyway, so it will obviously stack with that too. The only things it doesn’t stack with is direct cash benefits, food stamps, negative tax credits, etc. which is alright

UBI is the least bureaucracy possible that eliminates poverty. Classifying the ultimate entitlement as attacking entitlement programs is ridiculous. Also, he has a health plan similar to Bernie's (M4A), although it's not his top priority.
