Yeah, it does matter that he's a journalist. That makes him a public figure. He's not some random citizen. Part of his job, which a major media company pays him for, is to make provocative political statements online. That means you have to expect mockery and ridicule in return.

Nobody never said 'no penalty'. I just said not bankruptcy. Why couldn't Maza or his followers launched a similar campaign against Crowder? Instead you went straight to the death penalty without considering AT ALL that there might be a huge number of alternatives in between.
