Journalists like @Sulliview and INDIGNANT blowhards like @JoeNBC are missing the forrest for the trees in their righteous defense of the media coverage of #RussiaGate. I (and I think I can say @mtaibbi @aaronjmate and others) aren't criticizing journalists who INVESTIGATED

Trump's ties or his campaign's ties to Russia. There were indeed valuable news stories broken on Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Rick Gates, and Michael Cohen. The criticism is the LARGE MAJORITY OF MEDIA--

and engaging in a MASS SPECULATION/"The walls are closing in" game for 2+ years. I can't even count the amount of segments I've seen on cable news and pieces online and in print that projected crimes-unrelated-to-the-campaign into a grand, sinister Cold War reenactment

So these media outlets ABSOLUTELY should have covered crimes related to Flynn, Cohen, Manafort and the rest....but covering those is VERY different from pushing a narrative storyline of the "walls are closing in" on Trump related to "Russian Collusion."

Consider this for a moment: the
@guardian STILL has a story up that reports Julian Assange met with Paul Manafort during the campaign. This is a story EVERY OUTLET I've mentioned ran with to portray collusion. The problem: IT'S NOT SUPPORTED BY ANY FACTS OR PROOF.2 replies 7 retweets 28 likesShow this thread -
There are countless other false stories still to this day up online that pushed Russian collusion. So spare me the false righteous indignation....I, nor others who've been proven right, are pushing Trump's "Fake News." I don't think journalists are "enemies of the people." But I

do think most of the aforementioned outlets pushed a narrative that wasn't supported by EVIDENCE which was easy to see with the most basic amount of research. This sloppiness (which was intentional from the likes of

People are being sloppy NOW by claiming mueller exonerated trump - he didn’t. He presented the case, period, and Barr short circuited the process with his personal conclusions instead of letting Congress do its job like w Nixon and Clinton. Anyone who is claiming that Barr’s 1

I have said multiple times since this news broke I think Trump clearly obstructed justice and Mueller punting that to Barr is absurd. As far as collusion, Mueller did exonerate Trump. You may not like it, but that's the fact.

So you’ve seen the report, then? Because “the Russians offered to conspire but Im not sure I can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he knew or agreed (but look at all this damn circumstantial evidence and ppl convicted of lying about it)” is not “exoneration”.

This is the same justification used to ignore criticism of russiagate. 'wait for mueller's investigation to finish' now that the investigation is done-this IS fact-there are no indictments for collusion. the narrative is dead, and we ALL told you this would happen.
