Don't understand progressives defending @TuckerCarlson against advertiser pull-out. I agree advertisers should't influence content (even though they do across media) but Carlson's hate speech should't be confused w/ free speech. If he wants to push bigotry, there are consequences

One person's legitimate opinion is another's hate speech. What if people start calling criticism of bankers hate speech. Or, even more plausibly, what if insulting a cop becomes considered hate speech?

I would agree with you then--but that's not what we are talking about. We're talking about clear white supremacy that no objective person would consider in a grey area. He has the right to say it; advertisers have right to pull it
