Second one a year later did (meaning it can get worse fairly quick)
Without seeing how large the herniation is or what disc is involved, physical therapy MIGHT be able to help the disc move back into the correct space. For me, I was too far gone for that to happen because a piece of the disc broke off and was stuck in my spinal column.

Yeah, sequestered I think it's called right? problem is pain is too intense to get out of bed let alone to a physio. started taking lyrica so maybe that will ease off the pain. Traumatologist didn't believe the disc can move much, but maybe the inflammation can reduce.

with obvious disclaimer that I am not a doctor....what you're describing sounds like the herniation is LARGE and protruding (smacking onto) your sciatic nerve, blocking signal. When that happens, muscles react by tightening up as a defense mechanism. If you are in that much pain

Also you never know. Traumatologist could say it won't move. But some chiros think decompression can fix any herniation not matter how big. I'm dubious. So we're you in this much pain?

My suggestion....DO NOT try chiropractic if you have a herniated disc pressing on your sciatic nerve. In my case, I think it actually made it worse and caused the large piece of my disc to break off and get stuck.
