THREAD: Finally got time 2 read Mueller hacking indictment (been consumed w/ a separate story I'm working on). It's quite a document that states A LOT of disconcerting, SPECIFIC things AS FACT without providing supporting evidence to prove those facts. Presumably, Mueller would..

Are you a Cyber security expert? I'm no fanboy of the intelligence community...but chill the fuck out. Why would Mueller reveal anything at this point in this investigation? Would you reveal your methods and sources as a journalist? I'll wait for all this to play out...

No, I'm not. But I'm a journalist. One that is saying that Mueller's indictment, and facts laid out, is currently being reported as fact even though no evidence has provided to support any of the facts.

Since when do prosecutors provide GJ evidence to journalists to support indictments? Since never. You’re pointing to a lack of evidence being released as evidence that there is no evidence. That’s conspiracy theory territory, not journalism.

That's not what I said at all--I'm saying, as a journalist, I can't confirm details/accusations of the indictment bc it's not provided. If u read my tweet, I said it's possible & probably likely it's all true---but I'm not willing to blindly believe it without seeing the evidence

Journalists should be skeptical but imo implying a prosecutor of Mueller’s caliber doesn’t deserve *some* benefit of the doubt, doesn’t seem very objective. He’s earned a lot of credibility/respect over his career, again it doesn’t seem like objective journalism to discount that.
