He didn’t even get approval from the WMPCC Crime Panel to be Deputy. It’s alleged his own Labour people voted against him
and they’ve made him out to be an upstanding member of the community. He was having late night dinners with service users of a #DV charity.

There is the prospect that
@SimonFoster4PCC will keep Waheed Saleem as his Deputy PCC. Is this a valid reason for voters not to vote for Simon Foster? I think any prospective PCC should name his Deputy before the election.@JSinghSohal@Jonperrybarr@Julie202051 antwoord 0 retweets 0 vind-ik-leuks -

Problem is what body would be the appointing body? The Labour controlled Police and Crime Panel? The PCC function should be part of the function of the Elected Mayor as in London. Though this move was blocked by the Labour Councils in the West Midlands.

Absolutely. I am proposing it is a directly elected deputy Mayor, so it could be more democratic than London or Manchester and more accountable than most PCCs.
