yes there will be disruption, no one denies that but the resulting finish will be so much better for Perry Barr to grow, the flyover and the Island are massive scars on the face of PB

No it won't. That's the problem. A traffic light junction cannot handle the interchange of two busy commuter A-roads - plus one of the city's busiest shopping centres. Also the designs are scarily soul-destroying. The flyover should have been used to stimulate good design.

Even the council's own graphics show grassed areas around the flyover and just tarmac and concrete on the new junction.
