Very awesome to see your copy in a TV ad. Always knew that campaign was worth putting budget behind.

Finally, a channel for people who've done nothing but get their own way yet still complain that they're being denied a voice. (A reminder that is funding this travesty.)

hard to conjure up an image that represents rich people's flagrant contempt for the poor and inherent inability to money-manage more than a government outsourced for-profit company feeding struggling families by placing small handfuls of tuna IN A COIN BAG

The problem with Britain is a large chunk of the population think its an outrage if a poor person spends a fraction of a food voucher on booze but don't bat an eye when private firms take 80% of food vouchers for their own profits

After the first scandal of the Tories handing bogus PPE contracts to their mates, there was no public enquiry, no call for accountability, barely any media coverage. And they have JUST done it again, with laptop contracts. When will we stop letting them get away with this shit?

Do you remember during the first lockdown when every MP got given £10,000 to pay for laptops, internet upgrades and bills to allow them to work from home? Teachers are expected to stream classes from home after a 10% pay decrease since 2010 and pay for their own equipment.

NEW: a common response to reports of hospitals struggling this winter is "it’s no different to a bad flu season!" I’ve tracked down historical data on flu ICU admissions, including winter 2017-18, a record high. Here’s how England’s Covid winter compares to a bad flu season 📹

People will still vote Conservative at the next election and say “I’d like to see you try and do a better job during a global pandemic” and ignore the fact that nearly every other country in the world has handled this better than our shambolic excuse of a government.

Matt Hancock has just told MPs that nurseries are being kept open because they are private and “would otherwise go bust”. The Health Secretary should not be making public health decisions based on private profit.

Brutal Brexit analysis from EU papers Le Monde “The UK finds itself once again facing a question that was never resolved after 1945: its place in the world” Der Spiegel “The UK might need Brexit to realise how small the bit part it will play on the world stage will really be”

The new Covid variant in the South East isn't the only new variant of the virus that's been found, isn't thought to be more deadly & there's no evidence that the vaccines won't work on it. Important to put it into context.

I have finally recovered emotionally enough to tell the story of a Zoom corporate gig I did earlier this year which ended with the client interrupting what I was doing, asking me to do something else, and me responding by playing "Happy Birthday" on the clarinet and hanging up.

The richest MP that has ever sat in parliament, in a government that has squandered billions in handouts to their mates, is telling us that we all have to tighten our belts and lower our expectations to pay for the crisis of capitalism, while the rich go on getting richer
