I’m fascinated by the back garden trees. Stick a few in a line along along the back of gardens, then maybe a couple up-and-down on the ends to make it look less repetitive. I was looking to see if there was a hidden message- “HELP ME!” (maybe) spelt out in tree formation? But no

Why are we so abysmally awful at building decent, functional habitats for humans?

It’s the complete isolation - only one vehicle entrance that dominates it. Only houses and no attempt at mixed use Is the other killer. In layout terms it’s not that bad. (Retreats for cover)
-
Ways the layout is bad: - Only one site access. An RTC here paralyses the whole estate. - Illegible; very hard to navigate without a map. - No central point for the community to gather at. - Missed opportunities to provide active travel access to surrounding neighbourhoods.
